Kim was only 28 when she died, she was diagnosed with a particularly rare aggressive form of cancer (Bronchoalveolar cell carcinoma) in July 2004. Throughout her illness Kim’s attention was always on her family and friends and her fellow patients at the hospital. She always believed there was always someone worse off than herself despite the fact she was so ill. Kim continued to work until just two days before she died. Kim’s attitude towards life has inspired all the people that knew her not to give up hope but to make a difference.

●  The relief of persons suffering from cancer, particularly but not exclusively Bronchial Alveolar cell cancer, by the provision of financial assistance and equipment for the oncology units at the Northumberland and Tyne and Wear Hospitals.

●  The preservation and protection of health by the provision or assistance in the provision of treatment including reflexology, aromatherapy, massage and such other services as the trustees shall deem necessary with the object of improving the conditions of life for persons who have need of such services.
